Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi tours BBS Mall in Eastleigh
During his time at the mall, Mudavadi engaged in a closed-door meeting with MP Yusuf Hassan and mall management to address various issues affecting both the mall and the residents.
Prime and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi made a significant visit to the Business Bay Square (BBS) Mall in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
He was welcomed by Kamukunji Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan and key figures of the mall's management, including Chairman Maalim Wali and Chief Executive Officer Munir Ahmed.

The visit, occurring just a month after President William Ruto's tour of the mall, underscores the growing importance of the mall in the eyes of political leaders.

During his time at the mall, Mudavadi engaged in a closed-door meeting with MP Yusuf Hassan and mall management to address various issues affecting both the mall and the residents.
Mudavadi took the opportunity to explore the mall thoroughly, mingling with shoppers and inspecting all the shops and floors. He was also briefed on the upcoming gold market within the mall premises.
"I have been given a good snapshot of the mall," Mudavadi said after the tour.

The Prime CS also indulged in the different cuisines available in the mall, enjoying Indo-Somali cuisine at the Grand Cafe. His meal included biryani and meat, offering him a taste of the vibrant culinary culture present in Eastleigh.
Notably, this visit marked Mudavadi's first visit to Eastleigh and the BBS Mall since the general elections.

The mall, spanning an impressive 130,000 square metres, is the largest in East and Central Africa. Eastleigh, known for its impressive trading hub, now has a grand and clean feel with the BBS Mall, which houses international brands such as Giordano, Linton's Beauty World, Pizza Hut, Galito's, and Artcaffe.
It has more than 10 banks, more than 20 restaurants, 1,500 parking slots, hospitals, cinema halls, and various retail outlets.

Notably, it is the only mall in Kenya with that many parking slots, ample security, and a 24-hour water and electricity supply, backed up by high-tech generators.
This visit comes on the heels of recent visits by other prominent figures, including Somali Ambassador to Kenya Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle and German Ambassador to Kenya Sebastian Groth, who visited the mall without any bodyguards and expressed their confidence in the safety of Eastleigh. "I feel very safe here. I do not need any kind of security," Groth said then.
